  • Fantastic - 5 Stars! Somewhere I’ve wanted to visit for a long time. A guided tour around this with a guide and videos to enhance the experience, everything you’ve ever wanted to know about the Titanic’s short stop in Cobh, lots of information that I had never known but I wouldn’t like to spoil it for others! Definitely worth a visit!
  • This hotel was amazing. I hugely enjoyed my stay. Each staff member that I encountered was very helpful, smiled, engaged with my daughter (3 years of age) and was very polite. The hotel was beautiful, the entrance was amazing so I would say perfect for an event. They had a gorgeous outdoor area too which you would actually think that you were in the country but you are literally ten minutes from the city center or mahon point shopping center. The room was lovely, very clean and spacious. The food was gorgeous.. myself and my boyfriend are both coeliacs and they had great choices on the menu. we both got burgers which were grilled chicken breasts. Tasted amazing! I cannot wait to go back!

  • “A Really Recommended Tour!” I must say it was one of the better tours I've been to, loads thanks to our tour-guide John, who was very knowledgeble and passionate about whiskey and really friendly who welcomed us in highly manner and made sure we had a great experience on "Behind The Scenes Tour"

  • “Great Tour and Tasting” We had a great time here. Even got my wife enjoying the tasting and bottling her own special bottle. The staff is great and I would definitely recommend the tasting addition to the tour. Everyone gets some samples but the tasting ads a little something special. Some really cool items you can only buy there. Highly recommend for any whiskey fan or anyone old enough to enjoy a proper libation.

  • I just had an unbelievable 2 days on the island with the guys from Spike island adventures. They're all mad but in the best way possible. Getting chased around the island by them for your lunch is definitely an experience not to be missed!
  • The people that run "Spike Island Adventure" are a great bunch. Cork County are very lucky to have another great facility for children & adults that is fun. I would recommend it to anyone as its great fun. Its suitable for all groups and Terry and the lads can be contacted to discuss any queries you have. I enjoyed the whole experience and its a great place to go but don't forget to bring a camera

  • We recently visited Fota Island with our two children. We were greeted on arrival by a friendly member of staff and that set the tone for our weekend away. We found all the staff to be very courteous, helpful and made us feel at home. Diane in particular was great and genuinely friendly which made us feel welcome. Our children loved the pool and breakfast. We ate in the Spike Bar in the clubhouse just a short walk from the Hotel. The food was to a very high standard and again the staff were excellent and very family friendly. We loved the location of the hotel not too far from the city and near some lovely towns in East Cork. We visited the titanic experience in Cobh, Fota Wildlife Park, Ballymaloe and Ballycotton. Will be back again!
Stayed in March 2015, travelled as a family.
  • I just wanted to say that I had a fabulous weekend on the sailing course.I was a complete beginner and I cannot believe how much progress I made in less than 48hrs.Peter was a fantastic instructor and Jo, your gastronomic delights made the task of galley-slave a real treat and we each tried (in vain) to take credit for your efforts.
